The New Hero Products: The Curl Care Project

Ismail oubarka | 3:03 AM

Hey Loves, it's been a busy couple of weeks but I haven't been sitting on my hands, Freya had her 3rd birthday and we have been trying out new products from Antidote Street. The Curl Care Project is a unique brand created to address the needs of children with textured hair in the care system. This a project close to my heart as I was in foster care from 11 months old. The Curl Care Project not only has a line of products but also workshops to help carers and parents care for coils, curls and kinks.

I'm pretty hands off when it come to styling Freya's hair, I don't think we really need to spend too much time primping and coiffing toddlers, we usually wash her hair once a week, and moisturise daily, however with the activities of a 3 year old Freya's hair often looks like the above! I was sent the TCCP Moisturising Shampoo and the Coil Cleanser to try out.

The Moisturising Shampoo is nice, it's very gentle so can be used on babies, it smells like baby shampoo and I felt happy using it on Freya's hair and it left her hair clean but not stripped. It also got rid of the sand and glitter from nursery. However the product that I just can't get enough of for Freya's hair is the Coil Cleanser.

The Coil Cleanser is a 3 in 1 product that cleanses, cares and detangles curly hair, it's foaming so it is simple to apply to hair. I used it on Freya's hair mid week when her her hair usually needs to be misted with water and slowly detangled [or its tears on wash day!] I used the Coil Cleanser on misted hair [dry hair sprayed with water] the Coil Cleanser makes light work of tangles. not only is it s great refresher for the hair, it removes build up and deodorises. You can rinse out or leave in  the hair I have been using this product mid week and leaving it in the hair until washing over the weekend. Anything that makes my mummy life easier is a hit with me!
