Another day another wig, this time using hair from Jace Beauty they have a huge selection of hair textures and pride themselves on providing 100% raw virgin hair that lasts. I was contacted by Jace Beauty to try out their textured range of wefted hair. Jace hold a variety of of textures from a soft wave to a kinky curl. I pride myself on always bringing you all something different so I opted for Jace's Wildchild [mild] which is a lightly textured [think kinky straight but without the coarseness] this is a lot straighter than anything I have tried previously, I'm not usually a smooth kind of girl however I wanted to try something new.
I received one half bundle of 12", two half bundle of 10", and one half bundle of 8" + a closure all in the Wildchild [mild] texture, these where the length suggested by the team at Jace after I told them I wanted to create a bob style wig with the bundles.
The hair arrived, in good time it took around a week to arrive after the hair was processed, the hair is made to order so it can take a little more time to arrive than other brands. The hair arrived beautifully packed in satin pouches with a care card.
I received a lace closure with the bundles, I have posted before about how I make a Upart wig here, for the most part I used the same method, I attached the closure to the upart wig cap opening to make my wig a full wig, full wigs are great for a complete protective style as you can have no leave out.
I opted to try a wig with bangs/fringe, if you are not great with scissors I suggest you get a stylist to cut and style your wig for you as this was really tricky, but I feel I did a good job for a first attempt, the Jace hair is easy to work with and you can tell its a great quality hair, just from the feel and movement of the hair. The texture in it's natural state is slightly crimped [think texlaxed hair] so when smoothed its still got a nice fullness and body.
This is definitely a texture I've had to get used to, I've not worn straight hair for some time so seeing myself with a sleek bob was a shock but I have received a lot of complements on the look, I've been wearing the hair wanded for the most part as I just can't give up my big hair for more than a day or two, but the Jace hair hold curls beautifully [remember to use heat protector].
Jace hair is definitely a high end hair supplier the quality of the hair is amazing, I would definitely use this hair again though I think I would opt for a curly texture next time just to see how it is, the wildchild [mild] texture is great it can be flat ironed to for a poker straight finish or left natural to showcase the slight kink. this is definitely an investment hair, I would suggest getting this hair made into a wig for you or getting a sew in, the hair has a long life so you will get your moneys worth. prices start at $65, you can purchase here
