So why am I so excited? a few reasons firstly I love night time products our skin works it's magic at night skin regenerates faster at night in fact our skin cells regenerate twice as fast between the hours of 11pm-4am. Organic Skin contains active ingredients, and the skin is more receptive at night, it doesn't have to work along side other products like makeup or sun screen. So the term "get some beauty sleep" is actually spot on. secondly can we please take a moment to appreciate La Belle Lune's packaging! not only am I obsessed with this Gothic aesthetic but the black bottle it comes in actually has a function;

La Belle Lune is a great example of a small business with only one product the attention to detail is perfect, I'd rather support a brand that has thought about their product, from the ingredients to the packaging to it's environmental impact.
so does it work? enough of me gushing over the packing and brand, this product works, my skin felt amazing after using it just once, I'm not new to using oils at night, though I usually use one oil [loofah or pumpkin seed oil] but this blend is fantastic. My skin feels soft and plumped up. the glow from this product is unreal. Organic Skin nourished and heals your skin, it also reduces fine lines and scarring, it works deep within the epidermis [the outer layer of the skin] to repair and heal. Organic Skin is not cheap at £46 however you will not need you night cream or serum with this product as it does the work of those, one pump is enough for your nightly ritual so if you fancy a skin treat go get yourself some!
Organic Rosehip Seed Oil
This beautiful oil is one of our favourites. Originating from high in the Chilean Andes, it has been cultivated for centuries for its wonderful properties. The seed of the fruit is cold pressed (meaning no heat is used to keep the high quality nutrients unspoilt) to produce this fabulous oil. It has the most amazing healing and regenerative properties. Light weight and easily absorbed into the skin it helps reduce wrinkles, sun damage, scars, stretch marks and evens skin tone. It promotes hydration and encourages skin cells to produce collagen. It is also full of nutrients like essential fatty acids Omegas 3, 6 and 9 (which are vital to the body and can help regenerate cells) Vitamins A (retinol) B, E, Beta Carotene and Lycopene, a fat soluble plant compound, that has UV blocking properties and free radical fighting capabilities.Organic Milk Thistle Seed OilThe Milk Thistle plant is originally native to Europe and The Mediterranean but is now found worldwide. Originating in Mexico and the Southern United States, this oil is packed with minerals and vitamins essential to healthy skin, like Vitamin E, B Complex, Copper and Zinc. It regulates sebum production, has antioxidant properties and is great for the healing of damaged cells.Organic Frankincense Essential OilWhat a wonderful Essential oil this is! Frankincense has been coveted for thousands of years for its truly magical healing properties. In Ancient Egypt women and men would prepare balms using this precious oil for the moisturising of skin and as a anti-ageing treatment. It is said that Nefertiti and Cleopatra both utilised the amazing benefits of Frankincense for the skin. The essential oil is steam distilled from the gum or resin derived from the tree of the Boswellia family and is found in Southern Arabia, North Eastern Africa and India. It is known for rejuvenating skin, treating acne, bacterial and fungal infections and healing wounds and scars. Boswellic acids are the most well studied active ingredients in Frankincense and are thought to block enzymes that cause inflammation and therefore reduce any inflammatory reaction (like acne, eczema etc.). Because it is an astringent it can also help tone the skin and reduce and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.Organic Carrot Seed Essential OilThis amazing essential oil does not get enough credit, perhaps it doesn’t seem like much coming from the humble carrot, but don’t let that fool you. The oil is steam distilled from the seeds of wild carrots (not the carrots we usually eat) and is originally native to Europe. It is sometimes known as Queen Anne’s Lace because of the beautiful white delicate flower it produces. It has some of the most wonderful healing properties and has been used to heal eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. The oil is rich in beta carotene and vitamin A both excellent for anti-ageing, stimulating cells and helping repair any damage caused by pollutants and free radicals. It also has vitamins E and C which help moisturise and protect on a cellular level. As with our wonderful Lavender, Frankincense and Rose Otto it nourishes, tightens, tones and rejuvenates skin cells.
Rosemary CO2 Extract
We chose this extract because of its wonderful ability to lessen the oxidisation of oils and has excellent antimicrobial properties. Because we use no chemical preservatives in Organic Skin this extract helps the stability of the oils and keeps them as fresh as possible. And because it’s full of antioxidants it’s also fantastic for the skin too!
