Anyone who's an avid reader of this blog knows that I'm a huge fan of adding natural oils to our beauty regimen. Our hair and skin responds so well to plant oils. I rarely leave the house without my bottle of CapriClear, portable coconut oil ever since I first learned of this gem.
Not long ago, I shared the simple tip of adding a little oil to your shampoo to enhance wash day. This method was an instant win for me. A few of you even shared feedback on how well oil cleansing your hair worked.
Now, I come to you with oil body cleansing. Yes, there are body washes on the market that incorporate plant oils for deeper nourishing. Eucerine, a company that's been around for over 100 years, formulated a skin calming body wash infused "omega oils and other natural lipids to soothe and moisturize." Jose Maran, famous for his argan infused products, has an unscented oil body butter that one reviewer referred to as non-greasy and highly moisturizing.
When the weather was a bit warmer, I preferred to air dry after a shower to promote soft, moisturized skin. But that's not a desirable option during the winter. So why not try one of these high performance cleansers that help keep skin soft and moist post shower. Then, of course, there's the DIY method. You can experiment with adding a few drops of your favorite oil to your body wash. From past experience, we know that cleansing our face and hair with oil doesn't leave a greasy residue. I expect similar results with oil infused body washes.
You no longer have to fight a losing battle with dry skin now that oil body washes are here. Who knows maybe oil cleansers will change the entire body wash game.
