Mothernature provided a sunshine filled day innundated by a pleasant bustling crowd with excitement nipping at their heels for the 136th edition of The US Open. We began the day with an eclectic array of mouthwatering cuisine by Momofuku, accompanied by savory concoctions by Greygoose, in a suite that provided an amazing bird’s eye view of the matches. Familiar faces such as Claire Sulmners, Chef Roble, Saada Ahmed, Grace Mahary, Fatima Siad and DJ Moma (who would later provide the tunes for the entertainment area) were present and captivated by the riveting Denis Istomin vs Rafael Nadal match. During the course of the match our inner dessert connoisseurs were completely sated by Momofuku’s Milk Bar options. We are all too familiar with the selections, Momofuku being one of our favorite places for desserts, so our palates were jumping higher than a kangaroo with treats such as birthday cake truffles, compost cookies, chocolate malt cake truffles, crack pie, birthday cake and blueberry & cream cookies. So after polishing off dessert and watching Nadal’s victory we departed the suite and ended our day by heading to the entertainment area to enjoy music and dancing. We truly had such a wonderful experience at the US Open and thank you to the US Open for having us on opening day.
