If You Like Sheet Masks, You're Gonna Love This.

Fall is in full force and I've already noticed the intensely drier air.   Unlike last year, I'm not waiting too long to start taking corrective action.  One of our greatest assets in the war against dry facial skin is the almighty sheet mask.  It infuses moisture into the skin like no other.

I have to admit, I don't use sheet masks as often as I should.  One reason for my hesitance is that sheet masks require me to lay still for the duration of the process.  The sheet masks I use are super-saturated with product so walking around and being productive with the mask on is pretty much out of the question. If I'm not laying down, the serum will inevitably start dripping down my face.

In the back of my mind, I've longed for a sheet mask cover that stays in place during use.  I didn't realize such a thing actually existed until now.  A company in Japan developed a silicone face mask cover meant to fit securely on the face to trap the moisture in.

This allows you the freedom to go on with you life while enjoying a skin nourishing sheet mask.  The silicone cover has "ear straps" that help keep everything in place.  One huge benefit to layering with the silicone mask is that it prevents your sheet mask serum from quickly evaporating.  This is especially helpful for those of you who like to wear your sheet mask for longer durations.

Another advantage of the silicone mask is that it traps body heat.  Perhaps the increased heat can help open pores while allowing the serum to deeply penetrate.  I'm speculating about it's ability to help open pores but, according to the product instructions, the silicone mask can be worn alone, while taking a shower, to generate a steam-like effect on the skin.

I just purchased my sheet mask cover this morning and I'm filled with excitement. The only concern is that some reviewers stated that the shape of the mask was designed to fit the face of Japanese women. They typically have  angular, narrow, faces with a small chin.  I, on the other hand have a round face. I'm aware that I'll have challenges with fit but that's not stopping me from buying it because the upside of having a reusable sheet mask cover will be so worth it.
