Apparently we all need to buy Milk's Hydro Grip Primer....ASAP!

Ismail oubarka | 8:59 AM
At the end of last year, I made a fairly significant purchase from Sephora in order to secure membership to their VIP program.  Once the purchase was made, I felt pretty confident knowing that I wouldn't be purchasing or coveting another beauty related item for a very long while.

*laughs nervously* I guess I was mistaken.

It looks like I won't even make it through January before making yet another beauty buy.  But this time I can justify my transgression by saying that this might just be the most loved beauty product of 2019.

Whenever a tweet like this one comes across my timeline, I immediately jump into the comments to see if I can stumble on any gems.  It seems that I may have struck gold.   Within the countless responses were resulted in a slew of comments pointing to one product....

Milk's Hydrogrip Primer.

As you may know, I discovered and fell in love with Milk Makeup's Oil Stick earlier this year.  Although I adored this particular product, I didn't really consider checking out what other amazing options Milk has to offer.  As a result, I missed out on the opportunity to find the skin primer of my dreams.

Thank the Lord above that this tweet appeared in my feed.  Otherwise, I may have missed out on the primer that I've been searching for all of my life.

Here's the thing, I'm not one of those girls who touches up their makeup throughout the day.  I also don't do a good job of setting my makeup either. As the hours go by, my makeup pretty much disappears.  I'm sure this has a lot to do with the fact that I don't really have a go-to primer.  But that may not be an issue for much longer.

Hydroprip primer promises to provide all-day hydration and hold.  That's all I needed to hear.  Part of the reason why I forsake some of my previous primers is because they were too mattifying/too drying.  This resulted in my skin trying to overcompensate by producing excess oil.  So I stopped using primers altogether.  Once I focused on hydration, my oily skin seems to have magically disappeared.  Finding a primer that promotes hydrated skin while helping my makeup to last all day is basically everything I've ever wanted.

If I could experience results like this, I will be forever grateful:

Oily skin? Never heard of her
Okay so today is the first day I’ve tried this, my makeup has been on for close to 9 hours. I just walked past a mirror and had to stop, my foundation looks amazing, still intact, looks freshly applied. I was using the Tatcha Blank Canvas and Hourglass Mineral Veil previously and by this time in the day if I had used either of those, my T-zone was usually an oily mess, the foundation on my chin completely gone (even though I don’t touch my face throughout the day), with both of those primers being so insanely expensive I wasn’t sure how this one would hold up. To start, I didn’t think I would like this primer as it’s kind of sticky and you absolutely have no choice but to wait for it to dry down before applying foundation. I was literally stopped in my tracks about how amazing my makeup still looked and it’s all because of this primer, I’m shaken!
I hope that one day soon, I will be like twitter user @maritzakaay and boldly proclaim that Milk's Hydrogrip has once again, restored my faith in primers.
